The activities of the association are as follows:

• to represent and defend the interests of European suppliers of plastics sheets and foils for automotive interior trimming;
• to carry out scientific and economic studies relating to the common interest of the profession;
• to study and initiate any common action concerning environment and recycling issues;
• to promote international collaboration within the framework of the European Union.
• to examine what the issues at European level are, e.g.:
  • draft ELV Directive and its possible impact on our products
  • new standards being produced by CEN
  • evaluate the present market in Europe for our products and the impact of imported products with the assistance of a neutral body
  • quality standards
  • external tariffs
  • relation with Eurostat: problems linked with Intrasat, Prodcom, HS nomenclature etc
